2019. March 7. Korean traumatology professional day at MediKlaszter
MediKlaszter in cooperation with KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) dedicated an event to emerging technologies in the field of traumatology held at Medicor Elektronika Zrt.
MediKlaszter was represented by Dr. Miklós Nagy Co-President. KOTRA was represented by Ferenc Sebők senior specialist.
KOTRA has promoted the development of commercial relations, investments and cooperation in technological innovation between Korea and various countries since its inception in 1962. KOTRA is a trusted partner in finding the right business opportunities with Korean companies. It often hosts various event and exhibitions to help facilitate the establishment and development of business relations with Korean partners.
During the event Ms. Jung Yu Jin Deputy Manager of Sales introduced ORTHOTECH Co., Ltd. a Korean manufacturer of special traumatology implants established in 2003 with great growth potential. The demand for their products have been steadily increasing due to aging societal trends and the rapid growth of medical technology. ORTHOTECH has decided to increase its presence in European markets in cooperation with local partners.
From the business cluster the Hungarian partner was BIONIKA Ltd., specialized in the development of oral surgery, dental, traumatology and orthopedic implant systems. The company was represented by József Hajdú Owner and József Hajdú Jr. Executive Director.

The participants of the event also discussed emerging medical technologies in the field of traumatology connected to developments in artificial intelligence research in relations with the presentation by Ádám Szűcs ELTE-IK Phd candidate and the founder of Zeno startup. According to the presentation AI research will undoubtedly be one of the main growth factors in the qualitative improvement of medical services. AI technologies can greatly enhance the quality of information available to doctors in diagnostics and they can provide fast and reliable support in medical therapy.
The participants discussed the strategic document released by the European Union recently titled: “Coordinated Plan on Artificial Intelligence – 2018”. MediKlaszter has also decided to establish its Artificial Intelligence Work Group.
